Cover: Calcium signaling induced by activation of ionotropic and metabotropic glutamate receptors in a mouse cerebellar Purkinje cell. The ionotropic glutamate receptor agonist AMPA and the metabotropic glutamate receptor agonist 3,5-DHPG were applied by short-lasting pressure pulses to a voltage-clamped Purkinje cell loaded with a fluorescent calcium indicator. From: Tempia F, Alojado ME, Strata P, and Knöpfel T. Characterization of the mGluR1-mediated electrical and calcium signaling in Purkinje cells of mouse cerebellar slices. J Neurophysiol 86: 1389-1397, 2001.
