Cover: Simultaneous extracellular and intracellular recordings from a single hippocampal CA1 pyramidal neuron in vivo. Groups of hippocampal CA1 neurons were monitored with multisite extracellular electrodes. One of these cells was impaled by an intracellular electrode. This approach allowed several intracellular features to be extracted from extracellular unit recordings and also allowed unit classification errors to be quantified.
